I think it will be Great if they don't screw it up like last time. In fact when they first did the Brand split, I was enjoying Smackdown more than I did RAW. They were using a lot of the cruiserweights and the Lucha wrestlers. It reminded me a lot of the first hour of Nitro before it went down hill. Then RAW was more of a Talk show, and Smackdown was more of a Wrestling show.
But then it started going downhill. Smackdown was doing a half hour recap of Monday's RAW, so if you had already seen RAW, you were having to watch it again for a second time. Next came the wrestlers from RAW were showing up on Smackdown, and vice-versa. So then it was just RAW extended onto Smackdown. Then the storyline they were doing on Monday, were the same ones they were doing on Friday, but with different wrestlers.
In order for the Brand Split to work, the shows need to be completely opposite of each other, and cross over as little as possible. But again that is my opinion.

If it's done properly it's a good idea and good for the company. They have a lot of talent under contract and just sitting at home collecting a pay day, sitting in limbo in NXT waiting to be called up to the main roster and some talent just at the same old same old.
Smackdown! and RAW need to be treated as two different companies and don't have any real interchange unless it's one of the four major pay-per-views of the year, (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Summer Slam, Survivor Series).
Last time they did the brand split Vince saw that Smackdown! (Paul Heyman writing) was catching up to the popularity of RAW (Which is what you want as you want to make money!!!!) and then they squashed it and pushed the brand split down and killed it by having talent show up for now reason at all.
This is a great way to develop new talent.
