There have been 28 different title reigns with 24 different men holding the title.
Adam Cole is a 3x champion and Austin Aries and Jay Briscoe are 2x champions.
Only 4 title reigns have been longer than a year with Samoa Joe having the longest at 645 days.
Kyle O'Reilly has the shortest reign at 33 days. He also the only champion to never successfully defend the title.
They have used four different belts to represent the title.

Looking at these stats the ROH Title seems to have a lot in common with the territory belts of old. Long reigns, deserving champions, exciting matches without nonsense.

Depends on the Territory some switched the titles a lot (Memphis), multiple title reigns were certainly more common back then for the top stars. I would certainly say that ROH does a god job of protecting it's world title.

It does indeed. Jay Lethal vs. Will Ospreay for Death Before Dishonor is a dark horse candidate for match of the year for sure. But a lot of that is also due to it's relationship with NJPW that has given it a lot of prestige as well.

Watching Samoa Joe defend this title at the NJPW USA shows back in 04 was a treat for me. His match with Makabe will go down as one of my all time favorites.

I agree that the booking of their championships has been very entertaining since I’ve had a chance to follow this shows in Atlanta. I’m even more impressed with how they’ve provided a proper sense of respect (and air time) for the NWA Championship without seemingly degrading their own world championship ( or even vice versa). Their willingness to work with other promotions (certainly NJPW but also several others) has been great for wrestling fans.

ROH and MLW are two shows that I do enjoy for the matches. They have been doing a great job

I'm very interested to see how they treat Matt Taven.

It will be interesting to see how often Colt defends his new NWA National title on ROH TV, as well

Depends on how long he hold it. Could be a long reign, could be short.

True but so far, Corgan hasn’t had quick turnover of any of the various NWA titles with the exception of Cody’s reign. I don’t really consider that hot-shoting the title because it was a good decision having Cody hold the title: it brought a lot of attention to the NWA.
In another post, another commenter referenced if not for AEW forming that we’d probably still be in a series between Cody and Aldis. I agree with that.
