I read on title histories that there was a International TV Tag Team Championship. I know about the TV tag team titles in our of the old NWA NJ or Northeast promotion. But could a World TV Team Championship could exist if the NWA get a National TV contract deal down the line.

We don't need secondary tag titles. Hell, we even still don't have primary tag titles either.

But could a World TV Team Championship could exist if the NWA get a National TV contract deal down the line. Interesting thought. I always used to believe that TV champions held some of the best matches, and groomed them for the world title and US title pictures. Interesting enough the International Tag Team Championship was a brainchild of GCW to try to bring more eyes by billing it as "International". Don't quote me but I believe my grandfather held the title a couple times even. Could it work now? I think now it could work even better than before and they wouldn't need the "Von Brauners" to try and make it international. They could actually have a tournament every 4 months or so with some of the best tag teams around the world, with the belts always being involved. Best part is you could have these tournaments in different countries and film them and throw them on YouTube or some other streaming service and eventually eyes will be drawn to the product. I like the idea down the road, but am curious to see how successful the Crockett Cup is before holding my breath about something like that

Tv titles while I'm a fan, are pretty obsolete in major wrestling promotions. We have world championship matches every show now, so having a championship only for showcase on television is pointless. It's just another belt.

I doubt we will see such. Corgan does not seem to give interest to secondary titles hence no more NWA regionals. I like that the emphasis remains on 1 major and one secondary title as it seems to add to the prestige of a title match. That said, i do miss seeing the regionals as they served as a stepping stone in route to World title shots but without regional affiliate promotions, seems like the right move to minimalize titles. How many shows do you turn on and it seems everyone has a belt and every other match is for a title, kind of takes away the special attraction of title match when belts become props with little meaning. I do look foward to tag champs being crowned and would not be surprised if CC winner is awarded the titles.

In order for them to do the tag team and junior heavyweight tournament, it would have to be a traditional tournament. A la WCW 1992 tournament with the NWA World Heavyweight and Tag Team Tournament. They both have to be a World Wide feel to it. I would say that the winners of the crockett cup would have to be the number 1 seed in the tournament.

Having a TV title - at any level - when you don't maintain scheduled television is ludicrous.

Having a TV title - at any level - when you don't maintain scheduled television is ludicrous. I agree with Fred on this. Keep in mind guys, the NWA doesn't really have a roster, let alone a TV Deal, let alone the need for a second, second tier title. Both the Worlds Heavyweight Championship and the National Championship are being showcased in CWFH, House of Hardcore, Internationally, and perhaps soon to Ring of Honor. The roster more or less consists of Nick Aldis, Willie Mack, and Jazz, to a lesser extent, Tim Storm and Jocephus.

I am going to say this one more time. I SAID DOWN THE LINE IF THE NWA WOULD HAVE A TV DEAL COULD A TV TITLE WORK. Why do people assumed that I want a tv title right now when the NWA is not on TV I never wrote that.

The problem with most TV titles is that they aren't really TV titles. It would really only work if the other titles were not defended on TV and the TV title was.
