This is a very tough decision to support, even for a longtime fan of Impact from the earliest TNA days. It was tough seeing the foundational wrestlers of the promotion leave over the years...Samoa Joe, A.J., etc....even EC3 (though he wasn’t a TNA original) but it seemed inevitable with the chaos the promotion ran under for a while...and it was was understandable that so many of those stars wanted a chance on a bigger stage (WWE) but Eli was truly a saving grace during their initial rebuild. He has been incredibly underutilized for quite some time but I kept holding out hope that the longer he stayed that somehow the mgmt would finally step up and get him back in the championship picture.
this decision just seems inexcusable. They may have lost this long time fan...

The promotion seems doomed to make bad decisions no matter who is running it.

Lots of discussion that Drake May show up at the Rebellion PPV after all.
Could all this have simply been a work?....

It's wrestling so yeah it is possible. Of course I'm still waiting for Aries to return.

Yeah, I’m not aware of him surfacing anywhere in a while. It does make you wonder where and when we’ll see him again.

There are several key members of that promotion that have disappeared recently it seems. I think when they have a heavy focus on one group (The Broken Hardy's, LAX, Maria's Stable) it seems to take up a majority of the weekly program with the matches and back stage segments/interviews that it takes away too much of the TV time to build up other storylines.
Veterans of War/War Kings was a prime example of hype of them coming in. Having some good matches starting off and then nothing

I agree completely. If there is one continuing issue I have with them it’s the lack of balance on spotlighting fuels/storylines. It’s not that there isn’t several ongoing it’s more, as you state, the airtime some receive as opposed to others.
If the Lucha Bros are being written off due to exclusive US contracts with AEW as is rumored, it makes you wonder if LAX’s next programs will be slightly deemphasized to make room for other main event focus

In my opinion it's time to take the titles of LAX if not for good for at least a couple of years if not more.

On to another issue, twice in a row that a face wins the world title and then later becomes heel. Hopefully they will break that habit with Cage.

I’m sure Cage can work as a heel but he seems very natural as a face. I would much rather see him continue in that status for Impact.
Besides, there are plenty of heel opponents to work with - Hennigan deserves and should get rematches, Kross, Moose, and certainly the debuting Elgin. Wouldn’t surprise me if after holding the X division title for a bit (because I feel it’s inevitable) that Callihan gets into a program over the belt with Cage.

I certainly believe the North and the Deaners could be inserted into the title mix easily and there may be others that could work into that as well (Reno Scum, for example) if booked correctly. I’m very surprised that we haven’t seen Moose & Killer Kross holding the straps, yet.

Whatever happened to the OGz? I thought the who "causing a feud between LAX and the lucha bros" was their idea

Not to mention oVe is still there. When was the last time the really had a strong run for the titles? I was not a huge fan of them when they debuted but as soon as Sami was added they filled that missing piece to the puzzle

I’m guilty of overlooking OVE because they are mostly used as cannon fodder for whichever feud Callihan is engaged in. I do think your assessment is correct. When they debuted, I didn’t understand any of the hype about them and thought that Impact was showing their desperation after losing the Hardys. Once Callihan was added, their ability to deliver in a match (even a singles match) was enhanced exponentially
