Have Frankenstein’s Mountie and his friend defended the belts yet?

That's a good question.

Not that I am aware of. Lee has been in Japan and PCO has been semi-involved with Matt Taven.

Who booked that win then? Why not put the belts on, let’s say the Briscoes, a team that could defend them round the country

Presumably when Aldis got the belt it was because he could line up plenty of defences. Ok, so the Tag champions need not be travelling champions, but they should have at least a home promotion in which to defend. If something has changed, have them drop the belts

Just a little information..
Briscoes have not had a lot of bookings since the Crockett Cup except in ROH.. They also have no contract so they could sign many places at any given time..
Booking Tag Teams are significantly harder then booking single wrestlers.. When both are big names & that comes in with big name price tags then the difficulty goes up exponentially.. Booking a tag team of big names that have restrictions because of contractual obligations makes it even worse..
The tag team with the most bookings post Crockett Cup has been the Rock & Roll Express...
Up until recently there was not even NWA Tag Team Champions.. Maybe this is just growing pains & we are on the verge of having a killer run.. So please stop being so whiny..

I don’t think expecting one title defence in two months is asking a lot

As one of the maybe 4 or 5 people who actually post on this forum who has run events, Been a manager for a tag Team & has been in the ring it may be for a new company, or in this case a Kingdom with out territory, I can tell you it is way more difficult then you can imagine.. I can not say if PCO & Brody King are the best choice for the initial champions but knowing what can go one when running an event it they may have been the best option available..
I do suspect if the put the belts on the R&R Express even though they would likely have defended them a half a dozen times or more by now many of you would still complain.. If things fall into the right places at the right time I can see Villain Enterprise will be amazing as champions.. Logistics on making it happen will be a bitch though...

I don’t think expecting one title defence in two months is asking a lot For the tag team titles, it kind of is. Especially for a team that has one of its members in another country. To me this is symptomatic of another issue.

If you look at the recognized lineage back to the Miracle Violence Connection, it is filled with vacancies and is so broken it can hardly be considered a lineage at all so they are sporadic titles historically.

To Jadens point about how hard it is to book teams due to scheduling and payoffs and politics, there are very few teams left like the RnRs or Briscoes that have worked and built a career as a team and are, in my opinion, more valuable as a team than as 2 individuals. Take Ricky Morton for example. He has worked the southern indies as a singles for quite a few years but probably is still a better draw when he is booked with Robert. I have no idea if it works better financial but pretty sure sells more tickets.

This week was the first time the title has appeared on tv. ROH had PCO in the main event and he wore the title out for his match
