I don't know if anyone here has seen but the United Wrestling Networks YouTube channel has been uploading old episodes of the Showcase for way-back-wednesday or throw-back-thursday or something like that. These are the episodes hosted by Dave Marquez and Rob Conway from some casino in Vegas. They were taped and originally aired on Dish Networks Colours TV in 08 from various NWA Pro arena events. I can't recall how long the series aired before the reboot into a studio type program that of course morphed into NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and now into the Championship Wrestling program. They are currently up to the 3rd or 4th episode. I was always impressed with Dave Marquez and his desire to produce an NWA television product. NWA Powerrr has come a long way from the Showcase but I think these shows hold real value and were launching pads for Joey Ryan, TJP, Karl Anderson, The Young Bucks, Finn Balor and others and if it weren't for Marquez and these shows/tours/attempts there literally wouldn't be an NWA for Billy and Dave Lagana to produce today.
I'm curious if anyone else has been watching these? I wasn't able to see them when they aired so I've really enjoyed seeing the full episodes for the 1st time. I know Marquez has hours and hours of NWA Pro footage and I really hope this leads to more being released in the future. IF the NWA Pro/Big Vision Entertainment pilot tapings of NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood ever sees the light of day I think people would really dig it. It was NWA Powerrr 10 years before there was an NWA Powerrr! And because the only vintage NWA footage Corgan has is from Houston I think it could prove valuable.
Hope all's well with everyone.
