So what do we think? Show was better than i expected as i wasnt really sure when the concept was presented. Both teams worked well in the ring. Dean/Neal by far the smoother team. No mention of Dean as former North American champ, they seem to want to bury the Tharpe era from history with the exception of Tim Storm.

It would seem weird to have a former champion being part of a try out.
Over all thoughts, match too short considering the total length of the show. Didn't like Nikita being a coach for the Dean/Neal team. PJ did some good mat wresting. It's hard not to take into consideration who won and lost. They need tag teams add them both.
My incredibly big problem was do some fucking research. May be a first with a father/son tag team??? Hello?? You are taping in Atlanta Georgia when Bob and Brad Armstrong were the National tag team champions. Plus countless other parings over the years; Jaden and I named several just off the top of our heads.

Isn't Billy Gunn currently teaming with his son also?

He was and they probably still are. Larry & Curt Hennig made several runs for the AWA tag titles. Angelo & Randy Poffo (Savage), Bill & Jamie Dundee, Dory Funk Sr & Jr, Tug & Chaz Taylor, Etc.

Came off very minor league to me and I didn't find it a valuable supplement to Power or the NWA as a whole.

I do like seeing the featured presentation Jeff Lewis Neal back on the NWA, when I first saw him on shows I thought "That guy should be on TV". Hopefully he will be featured more. I was ok with the format, i mean the stopping of the show to go back and show reactions I was not a fan of (we can have a commentary track if its needed). Just wish it did not take up the normal Timeslot for Powerrr

I wasn't impressed by Hawx Aerie - P.J. looks like a high school kid. Granted, a high school kid who's a good amateur wrestler, but a high school kid all the same. He doesn't have the swagger or confidence that you need to be convincing.
I liked the team of Dean & Neal. They look like legit Tag Team Title contenders right out of the gate. I'd sign them in a heartbeat (as long as they had good attitudes and were willing to be team players).

Corino vs South! That was entertaining. George South looked great for a guy with a 40+ year career. Working the classic "bad guy" heel, he would make a good manager. Corino, the prince of old school, was very competent in the ring and with experience could become as good a talker as his dad, but still aways to go to reach the skills of the "King of Oldschool". He does look just like Steve.
