Are you guys excited about the UWN weekly ppvs?
There's not a lot of info. I hope the first show is stacked.
I think this is the perfect opportunity for Royce Issacs to become a more serious character and challenger in the NWA ranks. He represent both companies. Right now he is playing the weak tag team partner and jealous boyfriend.
I would love to see Primo Colon,Epico Colon,Ricky Banderas as Mil Muertes, Mr.450 MechaWolf, Jay Lethal,Chase Owens, Martin Casaus as potential opponents for Nick.

I am excited to see NWA attempting to get a restart going and have high Hopes of success. There is a wealth of talent within the UWN and the NWA and looking forward to some unique matches. I would also very much like to see Chase Owens in a program with Aldis, and Isaacs with a less comedic gimmick. He is used much more seriously in his UWN appearances than NWA. He is very solid in the ring, not too great on the mic.

Which promotions are still members of UWN? I know there's CWFH and Arizona. The website also says Memphis. David Marquez mentioned Chicago Freelance and West Coast Pro. These aren't on the UWN website but I can see they've got West Coast Pro on their Youtube channel. The Fite TV channel only has CWFH and Arizona.
The latest episode of Arizona has got an old CZW title match on it. According to Pro Wrestling Titles.com there's NECW, Ultra (Utah), Canadian Elite, IPW (UK) and Xcite. I assume this is a bit out of date, I thought IPW was in trouble and wasn't doing any more live shows (before Covid).
I'm confused. I'd appreciate it if someone could let me know who the current members and affiliates are, so I know roughly the size of the pool that'll be shown.

IPW is closed.
Everything on the weekly PPV depends on price point.

IPW is closed. Everything on the weekly PPV depends on price point. 100% agree, cmll is doing weekly LIVE ppvs in September with Ticketmaster new streaming service. You can buy a bundle of 4 ppvs for $17 and their shows are longer.

IPW is closed. Everything on the weekly PPV depends on price point. But just out of interest, are CZW a member? On their website there's no UWN logo, but some of their old cards have it on. I assume they were once UWN members but aren't anymore? I assume the full list right now would be CWFH, Arizona, Memphis, West Coast Pro and Chicago Freelance? I assume the others listed on pro wrestling titles.com were once members but aren't anymore? Being a UWN member seems an informal arrangement with their being no licensing, etc. NWA have gone into partnership with UWN, but I'm not totally sure what UWN really is. Other than CWFH and Arizona and I thought they had a working relationship with NWA anyway.

I'm not totally sure what UWN really is. Basically it is Dave Marquez and anyone willing to work with him under the name at a given point and time. There is no membership fee, no real guidelines for joining or leaving.

So the three promotions that are listed on the website are actually owned or partially owned by Marquez himself. Memphis was getting ready to kick off it's own deal that was derailed by Covid-19. Freelance I believe is still working with Marquez. West Coast Pro Wrestling is a title sponsor to the CW show in the Bay Area of California, so I think they have plans to co-promote in the future. NECW had been on pause since before Covid. Ultra, Freelance are still very much in concert with the United Wrestling Network. IPW-UK has closed it's doors. Marquez was part owner of CZW for some time, not sure of his status with them. I don't believe XCite is a part of the Network anymore.

Is there an official start date? Big Announcement then nothing. Tuesday September 15th at 9:00 eastern time. Chris Dickinson was announced as the first official participant for the series today. PWInsider is saying the price tag will be around $13 to $15 a week and that Fite would offer a monthly pass that includes VOD.

So we know now that Hammerstone will defend his West Coast Pro Wrestling Championship against CWFAZ's EJ Sparks. We know that Chris Dickinson will be on hand as well as the Woman's Champion Thunder Rosa. On Friday they announced Mike Bennett as the first challenger for the Ten Pounds of Gold on the series.
The shows will be 90 minutes long. Marquez mentioned something about "The Scout" Jake Manning being on the card, but that's not been reported as a sure thing yet. As of yesterday, I couldn't find the show on the FITE TV schedule of PPVs, just yet. That may change tomorrow, when it becomes the 1st of September.

If it's £15 per week, I can't justify it. If by the FITE monthly pass they mean FITE+, that could work for me. That's £4.99 per month, and it includes £2 per month credit.
I'm not sure that's out of date though. It says it includes Top Rank, but I subscribed separately for that last week.
Thanks for the UWN explanations, very helpful. But I don't really see how it's much different to a 90 minute episode of Power. I'd pay £4.99 per month, but not £15 per week.
