Greetings friends! As I'm sure you can tell, I personally haven't been super-active on this board as of late. I have been spending most of my free-time creating content for the website. What would you like to see on this board? What kind of content would you like us to get back to, here. I have been creating both audio only and video podcasts three-four times a week. If you didn't know as of the last week; I record the Preparty With Jay Cal on Tuesdays at 5PM Eastern, that airs on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook On Thursdays the illustrious DKM joins former NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion: Kevin Douglas and me as #TheAllianceGuys Podcast to #talkNWA and recap the #PrimeTimeLive Pay-Per-Views. Likewise those videos stream live at 10PM Eastern on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch. Fridays I record with HeyItsWil from The NWA Pod the # FridayHotTag. The video again eventually makes it's way to YouTube, Twitch, etc. And I still post strictly audio podcasts (Jay Cal's View) on our Spotify ChannelWhat social media outlet am I missing? What kind of content do you want to see/hear? What social media platforms would you like me to effort to next.

I'm deff all for a Fred series. In fact if it's a time constraint issue for DKM I'd be up for conducting it myself. I've got a limited history in radio BUT I also co-hosted Steve Gerweck's earliest podcasts and for many years before that promoted and booked independent wrestling in central Ohio and performed as both a ring announcer and playbyplay/color analyst along with hosting those ever popular Wrestling Hotlines back in the day! Of course it doesn't qualify me for anything but I also wnt on to train and actually work for a few years. And Fred would/is obviously the star of the interview I'm only saying that honestly I'm as qualified as any and more charismatic/well spoken than MOST....so if it would be of a help to anyone I'm just throwing it out there.
In fact I think a series of Fred Richards interviews could be quite interesting especially with so many NEW NWA fans hungry for their NWA fix. Who better than Howard T Brody or his cousin Todd...was it? But aside from the Brody's and before Behrens came on it was HoBro, Dennis C. and EVILFred...and that era in particular for the NWA has remained "Dark ages" as there hasn't been much exposure aside from Howard's book. His book is AWESOME btw. Idk....just tossing that out there.

Fairfax is the shot of Adrenaline that is sorely needed. IMO, the NWA (at this point-in-time) is nostalgia-based. And that is platformed on one reason that should not be denied by intelligent people with open minds.
The current pro wrestling industry/scene has a genre that is worlds different from the core NWA. The grunt-and-groan basics that ruled the ring before electronic delivery and hype of the wrestling product is gone and it ain't coming back.
Tod Gordon and Paul Heyman gave it a "best shot" with ECW. However, outside of a few PPVs, the product never accrued financial sustainability outside of the Philadelphia market; and that was due to a local, hard core audience base that filled the nearby arena.
Not too long ago, my partner Phil Varlese and I (with great thanks to Matt Tremont and the participating talent) promoted a show we labeled "Retiremania." No one got paid. It was a blissful amalgamation of guys and gals who came to Matt's home base to have one go-at-it under Phil's and my umbrella. It was great fun and I confess to feeling melancholy on my drive home.
Howard Brody and Larry Brannon ( with Howard Lipkindt) gave Ring Warriors a shot. Like any venture, when the well-of-finance ran dry, the product became just another morsel of nostalgia.
It disappoints me to see this Board dormant for long stretches. Surely, back-stories of the NWA remain newsworthy - - as do resurrection of the differences and squabbles that gave me and others treasure chests of stories from the Brody - Miller - Arpin - Todd - Trobich - Behrens eras.
Professional Wrestling was founded and grew on "HEAT." Good guy versus bad guy with all the dirty moves, heel/face turns, etcetera and so forth. There is so much that can and should be told. If nothing else, it will be fun!
I have my fingers crossed that Fairfax jumps in the pool and stirs it up.! Fairfax is a stand-up guy in my book!
I hope all who read this (and your loved ones) are well and safe during the era of this blasted pandemic.
Happy Holidays and Season's Greetings to All!!!

Well I thank you Mr Evil-Uncle Fred for the kind words and yet....I apologise for the disappointment!!! But after a "holiday break" we'll call it maybe? I would like to get back to posting here and becoming a bit more involved. In fact IF you're still interested in that rebuttal to Mr David Marquez and interview of your own then maybe it's something you and I could work on as it's own entity? With your experience both in the business and as a fan I believe that NOT only are you qualified BUT I also believe it could be something people would be interesting in following along with...and not simply as an Alliance presentation strictly but maybe almost like the Jim Cornette Experience.... One way or another I've pretty much earned my living by either talking or with my winning personality;-) so IF it's something you'd be interested in Fred then email me at heathharvey33@gmail.com or I believe we're friends on Facebook as well so just pm me at Heath Harvey. Of course IF Jay Cal would have us then it could be featured here and on the youtube page....but if it's something people show interest in who knows? Maybe we'll bring in Behrens to negotiate a syndication deal with Conrad Thompson?!?!? If there's no interest on your end however Fred then NO worries at all. Just reach out if you're inclined.
I always enjoyed the stories of Dennis and Howard and yourself and how only a few short years earlier the BRAND was featured as THE worlds title and Howard is shooting pics ringside in Florida and several twists and a turn or two later he's president of the NWA! I think the holdover members like Steve Rikard and the O'days and Bob Trobich and his involvement pre/post WCW split. I've promoted indy wrestling and roughly around the same time give or take 4-5 years and I know the struggles that come with it under the BEST of circumstances but with the added pressure of this NATIONAL brand that people adored....some has been written/spoken about BUT not nearly enough! Heck....a rebuttal to David Marquez's interview is a great idea BUT a rebuttal or a different take on much of Howard's book as well would be highly interesting and entertaining! And to be inside from the NWA angle on Monday Night Raw and the WWF and through the inception of TNA and the subsequent TNA split to reclaiming the glory and the historic night and title change during an ROH event in NYC ANNND up through the lawsuit and the RBT era....it's the podcast wrestling fans didn't know they needed and at first maybe could be overlooked...but once they realize the HISTORY this man has been a part of...Well I'm stoked over the idea.
Completely off topic but I've been curious about this latest incarnation of Ring Warriors. They ended up holding 2 sets of tapings didn't they? I feel like the first set was in July maybe and the second was in November or roundabouts? Howard Brody has always been able to put together an impressive roster and those tapings were no exception. The first seemed to have drawn a halfway decent house but I think tickets were maybe all comps just to get folks into the building. I haven't seen shows from the 2nd set up tapings but I remember them announcing they were heading into a holiday hiatus but intended to be back with the first of the year. I know Howard's passion for this business is so I know if he can make something work then he'll do what it takes to make it work but sadly things didn't work out. Sadder still is I believe at this point the only thing I've seen mentioned about the demise is some BS smarks comments made my Chris Cruise of WCW and snitching on AEW fame. I think Howard's always tried to resurrect Ring Warriors as a tribute to the late GREAT Hiro Matsuda so for Cruise's comments to be the only ones is an injustice. Anyhow I'm rambling so I'm gonna sign off here BUT long story shorter I do plan to be much more active here on the board in 2021. So God Bless and Happy New Year to you all!
