As of Tuesday of next week, all of the NWA Champions defended their titles on Prime Time LIVE.
Nick Aldis was the first to defend, but has yet to appear a second time.
Thunder Rosa was the only one to defend the title more than once.
Da Pope and Thunder Rosa are the only two NWA Wrestlers to appear more than once.

Who’s even a part of the NWA now?? Technically its only Billy Corgan that is the NWA; no affiliates... Both khrisdogg and ZEKE are right on the mark and I salute their candor and intelligence. The time to be frank is long overdue. The NWA has been reduced to a rich boy's toy. No "Miracle Worker" is waiting in the rafters - - not in California, Atlanta, New York or on the moon. I love "the old days" as much as anybody. Hell, I lived them. But time marches forward. It is fine to revel in the past - - just don't be bogged down in the muck to the point that you see visions of Lou Thesz walking into the ring. Celebrate what once was - - but accept that, like bald man's hair, it is just a memory. The Pumpkin Smasher has proven he has no intention of providing the substantial money investment needed to give the brand a real chance. Via several "nice guys," he teases it every so often. But it stops cold every single time. Enjoy what exists in video, old magazines. Hear the stories from the few former NWA competitors (some of which just might have a sprinkling of truth). It's like a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. It will NEVER be more than that.

If you aren't running shows you don't need a roster of wrestlers.

Nwa started off strong in 2020 but has ended on a terrible note. Losing Lagana,Starks and Maureen are huge blows for different reasons.

I haven't been around here in quite some time...I have caught some AllianceGuys youtube stuff but it's good to be able to pop in now and then and see what's new. I think sadly that the UWN PrimeTimeLive series or experiment isn't really paying off in ways hoped for. If it was generating revenue they wouldn't be putting the concept on hold. I do think they were pretty decent shows however. I suppose it is relevant today as we just saw the debut of the "new" NWA Shockwave series. Wasn't the infamous Billy Firehawk involved with an NWA Shockwave either before or after NWA Cyberspace...."Super Saturday or SuperBrawl Saturday or whatever it is...And your T-Shirts are too tight too Billy!!!"
I should hope that Corgan was at least a BIG part of backing UWN's PTL financially as it appears now the shows will be repackaged into Shockwave. I feel particularly bad for anyone that paid for PrimeTimeLive to see the advertised NWA aspects and then ALSO paid to see the Shockwave series a day early. On one hand I've actually been impressed with the news that's been popping up about "James Storm's NWA deal has expired" or "Allyson Kay has come to terms with the NWA on her release" as these tidbits provide insight into the fact that Corgan had signed several talents to some extent of a contract. Had covid19 not hit and the Crockett Cup PPV taken place from the new larger venue the NWA had booked they might very well have continued to gain momentum. But sadly with Covid19 seemingly EVERYTHING the NWA had going has all but stopped.
I've lost a significant amount of investments, my parents I know have lost a great deal moreso and while I'm not sure how Corgan has done in the market I do think it's pretty obvious that his #1 business and source for generating revenue has completely gone away. There aren't many rockNroll shows going on these days. So while I can't write Billy and his vision for the NWA off completely I can certainly say two things and #1 is that I respect and value Evil Uncle FRED's opinion greatly but #2 I'm not quite ready to don my mourning clothes or recite eulogies for the NWA brand. I think once Fred was gone and then Chris Ronquillo was finally squeezed out and promotion after promotion had withdrawn membership and the glitz and glamour of even the thought of working with New Japan had faded and we were left with the Greater Southwest Texas' official volunteer spokesman for the Golden Coral Buffet&Bakery and his blinding sequins and big goofy chompers swerving audiences in the high teens with names like The Nature Boy......Paul Lee...those were dark times....maybe the darkest of times?
Maybe now is the time to, like Marquez get back in touch with a INNOVATE and Tony and see about bringing the NWA name back to Eastern Tennessee. Even if it is stripped down to how it started....One man, Tim Storm and his MountainTop....the idea can remain in tact.
As for the biggest loss....I'm planning to address that in a separate thread but I don't think this has to spell the end for the NWA or the 10lbs of Gold.

It would be nice if ROH would feature some NWA matches again, it could increase the show from a half hour to an hour again.

I mean lets do pre-orders for a ppv and have an empty arena here and there, it has worked for MLW so far

Nope, you didn't miss anything. They really dropping the ball. I thought GA was a state that allow people at shows?
Aldis did defend the title last weekend in a good match. In front of fans btw.
