So now we have Matt Cardona as the NWA Champion!? I love what he has been doing since leaving WWE

I see it as the lowest of the low of the Lighting One era. No build, no hype, no coverage, and no future progression.

I did find it odd that it happened the weekend before the last show. No updates during the show since it was during the Teams series, guess we will see tomorrow on NWA USA. This is why I think we need a weekly Magazine style show to cover happenings that are not televised

The title change match should be on an upcoming Powerrr. They shot 3 episodes that night. I myself was disappointed to see Cardona win until Aldis came out and challenged then realized he is probably a transition champ (i hope). Quite a pop from the crowd for a heel victory. Murdoch bled buckets and they had a pretty good match.

IMO it would be great if Matt keeps the belt past the Crockett Cup. He is the hottest performer happening right now in many circles. I love Aldis as champion, but where does it go w/Nick as champion at this point. With Matt they can ride the heat until if or when it cools off.

Cardona is creating buzz and the 10 Lbs of Gold episode was well done. Maybe an extended program between he and Aldis before the switchback could be entertaining.
