I wonder what would have happened if Danielson didn't get injured. Oh the possibilities. Granted they did get it right with the title going to Pearce and Pearce starting his first run as champion. I never did like the NWA Titles being in the hands of TNA, it didn't really benefit the NWA much and the talent and NWA companies didn't get anything out of it either since they weren't under contract with TNA.

I'm still mad at Dave for not putting me on that panel. I think I had more right to be there than Vanderpyle.

Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Darren Young, Mikey Nicholls, Finn Balor, all signed to the WWE. Pearce in a coaching/producing capacity. Go figure.

We know Wayne is still active, what about the rest? Aaron Aguilera: Wrestles infrequently in Southern California. Had a dark match at Lucha Underground in the first season. Was a regular for AJPW for a while. Nelson Creed: Recently returned to active competition in ECCW (former NWA member). Osamu Nishamara: Still active in All Japan. Pepper Parks: Currently working in TNA. Chad Pharam: Likely retired Roughneck Ryan: It seems like he retired. Glamour Boy Shane: Was wrestling in Puerto Rico still, as of last year. Not sure if he's still active. HE was a former IWA PR Champion. Sicodelico Jr.: Was also wrestling in Puerto Rico. Not sure where he's at now. He had a brief contract with WWE.

A lot has changed. Wwe is signing everyone with a name in the indies. This is nothing new Shawn, this has been going on forever! If you're just noticing this well then you haven't followed the business long enough.

The difference is, for about 20 years the WWE tried to farm out the process. They'd hire guys based on a look of physique and would try to shape them into a cookie cutter design. But you have to remember prior to the OVW relationship... the WWE was doing what it's doing now. Hiring the best talent they could afford from across the world. The WWE would send talents to develop at USWA before bringing to Superstars or what have you.
The only difference really is that the WWE is controlling all of it now. Ohio Valley, Memphis Championship, Ultimate Pro, Dirty South, Florida Championship... all of this led to NXT. WWE has carefully crafted this NXT machine for decades... but Triple H's engagement in the brand shows by how over it is.

Every major company in the 12 months had to change booking based off the WWE. Sombra vs. Atlantis mask match, ADR/AAA, NJPW IC title situation, ROH being afraid to book anything long term, TNA-Dixie Carter/AJ Styles-Bullet Club contract situation, LU/Ricochet.

But that has been going on for years, not just the last 12 months.

Not at a pace like it is now and not at high volume. Cwc tournament they're doing is different. Nothing like it in their history.
