Tammy is... something else. I have known Tammy since she was 16 years of age. I celebrated her success in the WWF/WWE - - always warms my heart to see someone I know realize their dream. However, some people cannot handle success, I discussed this in another thread. Big money items and lavish gifts, to include a thoroughbred pony for a nephew, abounded. While I had no right to open my mouth, my better judgment told me she was "caught up in the life." Tragically, I was more-than-correct. Chris Candido was a good kid. A kid that was robbed of the best years of his life. Ironically, it was not his dalliance into substance abuse that did Chris in, it was a damned, freak complication following surgery. Chris worshiped Tammy - oftentimes to his own detriment. Chris, for some reason (maybe because of my "maturity") used to have matter-of-fact talks with me after the ring lights went dark. I will never violate those confidences. Suffice it to say, Chris and Tammy had a unique relationship/marriage. You don't kick a person when they are down - that's an old Bronx postulate I firmly believe in. That aside, I am quite distressed at what I see of this former vibrant 16-year old girl who had a smile that could stop traffic it was so bright. I'm not one to give up hope. There are but three people I've known in my lifetime whose continued existence on God's earth is of zero interest to me. One, well, I think regular visitors to this forum can guess the name. The other two have nothing to do with the zany world of pro wrestling. I can only pray that Tammy musters whatever it takes to get off her back and back on her feet.

I would say this I would rather have Troy Martin aka Shane Douglas running the NWA than Tharpe at least he know the business and the true legacy of the NWA. I still hate what he did over 22 years ago but He apologize for it.

In my book Share Douglas was always overrated.

Still waiting for Shane Douglas and this classic wrestling project get off the ground. It's either that or back to red shirts with khakis.
