A New Jersey promotion known as Game Changer Wrestling had a match over the weekend that had one of the opponents snort "cocaine" in the ring as part of the match. This organization has tested boundaries in the past, but I think that the overt suggestion of drug use in a match takes it a little too far.
Thoughts?

I agree, but then I'm in California. Home of Hoodslam, where it's like the old smoke-filled arenas, but that's not tobacco.

There is a wrestler out here in Southern California named "Dirty" Ronald McDonald... a knock off of the original I'm sure. But it's a spot, where he does a line off of his opponent. I mean, I personally think it's stupid. But his audience is typically the more adult oriented crowd 21+. So, I mean, it has a place. And the guy sells a ton of merchandise with his shtick.

I generally hate comedy in wrestling because it always seems to end up going too far theses days. The Dick Murdoch level of comedy in wrestling was more my speed. But being a Mac Sabbath fan I guess im compelled to look up "Dirty" Ronald McDonald now.

It hurts the industry as a whole. Yes, there are some that gain a measure of popularity but the over all damage it does to an industry with an already bad reputation is hard to repair.

The problem with that DKM is that these are usually people that generally don't care about the rest of this business. They know that they're not going anywhere else (which, to be fair, neither am I, but...), and usually live an 'alternative' lifestyle (which, is fine, you do you) and so in-turn, they opt to present an alternative product.

I understand that, it is just the sad reality of the business today.
