I don't think there's much to the meeting unless it' to discuss a more working relationship but then again who really knows?
When Dixie was around, it was said that TNA or rather Impact was in talks with WWE, although Corgan was around and keeping them afloat he was initially shut out and they nearly got sold but from my understanding WWE wasn't willing to pay the amount that was being asked and that's when Anthem came in a bought a huge chunk initially making them owners with small percentages being given to a few others and that was far less than what they are worth today.
It seems they are doing alot better presently (with the exception of a few annoying characters and angles) then they were during which I can only describe as near death experience
when the Carters were running it. I'm not sure the exact figures but they've been bringing in more revenue with their streaming service which helps alot if you don't have Pop or whatever channel it comes on from your cable/satellite provider and are actually running shows where they are charging people for tickets, something that didn't happen when they would do their
tapings at Universal, add to their working they have working relationships with both NOAH, AAA along with the other number of affiliates
they've been working and do a degree most recently with OVW.
Only 2 years ago Impact was at it's lowest value and WWE didn't want it, something about they didn't want to pay the amount that equals the annual salary of a top talent so if they didn't want to buy it then, I don't see how profitable it would be now?
The most recent rumor I came across is that sometime soon, Impact wants to announce their next inductee into their version of the Hall Of Fame.
A few names come to mind that work with WWE
like the obvious AJ Styles and Bobby Roode, both have spent years with them or maybe even Eric Young? I would say Samoa Joe but I don't think he's to big on making an appearance
do to his demeanor during his time in NXT but maybe he doesn't feel that way now?
Anyways they also just finished a bunch of taping last week in Mexico which I can only attribute to being the lead up to BFG but I did come across they are going to be working with FSW (Future Stars Of Wrestling) and have a seminar and tryout along with tapings at the FSW Arena in Las Vegas in November so there's that.
I'd to add to the sinister idea that it wasn't that long ago WWE wanted to jump start a relationship with NOAH but nothing came about it as of this writing but perhaps if they build a working relationship with Impact, maybe it could be a way to do so but then again they did just clear Itami to wrestle at Marufuji's 20th and I've read NOAH isn't as affiliated with them as much as they were just last year.
One of the better or more overlooked talents in Taiji Ishimori from NOAH that kept doing more actual Impact shows is now with New Japan as the reborn Bone Soldier so if anything
I feel they are more in line with a relationship of sorts (long distance?) with them seeing that Don Callis who is vice president or co-executive VP is also one of their main american commentators for NJPW World who also just happens to be close friends with one Kenny omega and was the catalyst in making Alpha vs Omega happen not to mention with Jericho's cruise featuring exclusive Impact talent.
I'm probably just blabbing though ha ha.
