As talented as Taven may be or will become, I just can’t seem to get excited for him as champion. I’ve grown into more of a supporter of his version of the Kingdom as they’ve progressed but Taven as an individual wrestler is too bland for me to see as representing the promotion as their champion.
if they were going to take the belt off of Lethal, why not give Dalton Castle another run with it. His initial run was cut short due to injury. Heck, I’d be ok with Silas Young as champion. I’m sure with the push that Jeff Cobb is getting it’s just a matter of time before he takes the strap but in the meantime this just makes the promotion look weak IMHO.
truly hope Eli Drake signs with ROH and immediately gets moved into title contention. Not only would it be justice for the horrible booking he received in Impact for quite some time but I feel he could bring more enthusiasm from fans back into the promotion (similar to bringing Big Cass and Enzo in as a surprise)

I saw someone say that Matt Taven winning the belt is like when Justin Credible won the ECW belt.

I saw someone say that Matt Taven winning the belt is like when Justin Credible won the ECW belt. I didn't follow ECW so I don't know what that means. Having seen his work in CMLL less The Kingdom I am actually a fan of Matt Taven, though I hate his current hair style as the result of a hair match in CMLL. BTW that was the result of a feud with Rush in Mexico and I'd love to see that in ROH. Someone told me they didn't think Drake fit the ROH mold but I'm not so sure. Drake has burned a lot of bridges.

I feel that ROH in their rebuilding mode may not have a set historical “mold” anymore. I do feel he could bring a lot of eyes and enthusiasm back to the brand and, in turn, they may book him much better than he has by Impact mgmt. as to his burning a lot of bridges, he may well have with Impact (but they’ve welcomed Low Ki back so even that may not be long term) but I’m unaware of any others. I was under the impression his tenure with CWFH ended amicably but I certainly can’t be certain of that. could be a moot point if he goes where the money is and signs with AEW where, I fear, he might get lost in the shuffle.

Well if Vince and Brett (and Jarrett) can makeup, who can't? As far as I know his relationship with CWFH is good, but he had a bad reputation in WWE developmental, and I've heard he has had issues with other "super indies".

IM sure that will change, there is a lot of people out there you barely see right now that have a bad reputation. Im sure if they want money in their pockets the attitude will change at some point
