"PWInsider.com is told that the decision was made for each promotion to go their separate ways and that NWA President Billy Corgan intends on putting all his energy towards producing a weekly stand-alone NWA series later this year once he completes the current Smashing Pumpkins tour."
Hey Pumpkin Smasher - - seeing is believing. Words mean nothing at this juncture. How long has it been since you obtained exclusive control of a brand many of us adore? And other than piggyback on other company's cards, little has been done except for one or two cards that had a mediocre draw.
Time to prove your words have credibility, Billy. Candidly - - the vast majority of those who post here want to see you succeed.

Good exposure while it lasted. Guess that's why Villian Ent were on last weeks show without the NWA tag belts. Hope to see an authentic NWA TV show on an actual TV station. Make it happen Billy!

Hey Billy and Lagana, I've go two words for ya: Matt Riviera.
Back to topic, we see this coming sooner or latter. From the signing of Eli Drake and technically James Storm also with NWA. And if you notice that Nick Aldis will doing a seminar in UK, I remember he once said that he will also scouting for new talent during his trips to UK. From the singning and scouting, we see that the NWA seems like preparing something. Interestingly enough that during the heyday of NWA - ROH relation, the NWA seldom appears in CWFH again. And now we see the NWA back to CWFH, and suddenly we got reports of NWA and ROH parted ways.
I just disappointed that the work ended when the angle still ongoing and hot. Gone were the opportunity to see the Ten Pounds of Gold returns to the historic Maple Leaf Gardens. But the most disappointing one is to see the ongoing angle between the NWA and The Briscoes, and also The Villain Enterprise which still hot and not yet reach a conclusion will dried out nowhere like it never happens. I hate this. AT LEAST finish the angle first before officially parted ways.
What is done, is done though. Im still excited about what Billy will have in mind for the NWA. At least this is a moment we're looking and waiting for. I just hope they will not rushed themselves for TeeVee though. Build a stable and consistent regular show first, established the grassroots and loyal fanbase first, and we can talk about TeeVee. And I somehow wish the NWA won't have anything to do with AEW though. But if we remember the old reports about Starrcast trademarking "Ten Pound of Gold" name, I wonder...
Another one of "good" aspect of NWA parted ways with ROH, at least for me is, working together with ROH also means working with NJPW technically. Now that's not the case anymore. So NWA better call Jun Akiyama for BUSINESS now.
And MATT RIVIERA.
So, anyone knows how long Billy will go to Smashing Pumpkins tour?

ROH was a great fit for the NWA because of the value placed on decent wrestling.
I would be horrified if the NWA had anything to do with the outlaw mudshow AEW and their crew of blowup doll wrestling spot monkeys.
Cody I like, Jericho I like, but if I ever see the Young Bucks, Omega, Jelly Janella, the baby oil guy or any of those other clowns near the NWA, I will give up on the NWA the way I gave up on WCW when they brought Hulk Hogan, Brutus Beefcake and all those WWF clowns in

Billy did an interview around the Crockett Cup time period. He said they (NWA) were thinking about doing a weekly TV show on either Honor Club or the NWA You Tube Channel.

The NWA needs to stand or fall on its own. It's fine cooperate from time to time but no more partnerships.

Remember Billy himself is worth around 50 million. The NWA has a budget. You have to pay wrestlers, the crew, production cost, possibly flying some guys in. He will more than likely have to piggy back with another promotion. Preferably with a promotion that makes the NWA Championships the center of the storylines. Remember at the G1 WrestleMania week, NWA didn't get any matches on that card.
Championship Wrestling from Hollywood or TNT from Tennessee are good places to start.

Im affraid 50 million is too small for a major wrestling show. Heck, it even too small for a super indie regional show.
2 years ago, there's a regional upstart Promotion called NWL in the State of Missouri. They have everything any indie Promoter would dream of. From exclusives contract with benefit for their workers, state of the art training facility, a good regional TV deal. That combined with signing the best talent the area has to offer, with occasional appearances by some of big indie names. This promotion looks a dream at once. I even read a story about one of his workers able to buy car thanks to his salary from NWL alone. Wanna know how many bucks NWL invest to their product? 100 millions. Twice of Billy's total net worth, which of course he won't poured all of his money for wrestling.
And they lasted less than two years.

That NWL story sounds fake and like a scam. Marquez, Booker T and Court Bauer seems to be doing fine with their promotions. Court actually signing wrestlers. You dont need that much unless you trying to become like AEW or the old TNA which I doubt Corgan will do.
