The Crockett Cup was a 'love letter' to the Glory Days of Jim Crockett Promotions (NWA Mid Atlantic)
The National Championship and the announcement of studio wrestling goes back to Ole Anderson's old territory (NWA Georgia Championship Wrestling).
We've also seen a lot of Paul Bosch's (NWA Houston) TV footage used.
How else could the NWA pay tribute to the territory days?
- I think CWFH would be perfect for the TV Title - I'd take the Tag titles off PCO and his buddy and put them on Jax and Crimson as a modern day Road Warriors on Atlanta TV. - If the NWA is working with CWFH and CWFH is working with Impact I'd like to see the women's title on Tessa Blanchard.
Would other territories could the NWA pay homage to? Memphis? Knoxville? Mid South? Detroit? Missouri and Central States?

Can we leave the past in the past. This is why the NWA has never grown after WCW, ECW and to an extent Marquez because they use tradition as a crutch. It’s 2019 and the market is too competitive to be stuck in the past.

If people want to see baby oil escapes from bear hugs and wrestlers with no legs in battle royales they can watch the blow-up doll wrestling cosplayers in AEW. If people want to see the 45 minutes skits and a pregnant woman winning the 24/7 title they can watch WWE. The NWA SHOULD be paying tribute to a golden era. That is its unique selling point and always has been. The NWA is about history, tradition and respect. It's Lou Thesz, Harley Race, the Road Warriors, the Rock n Roll Express, Jim Cornette, it's blood, sweat, 60 minute broadways and the ten pounds of gold. If you don't like that you can always watching Joey Janella piledriving a 14 year old girl on a car bonnet.

One way or another, it has been part of my life since 1960. khrisdogg hits the finisher. Today's consumer does not take overly well to NWA nostalgia. Hell, ask some who Pat O'Connor was and watch the dumbfoundedness. After all, how many times do you go to a museum? We have all been holding our breath waiting for a true NWA product to emerge. Other than a few minor efforts or piggybacking title matches on other companies' cards, what has there been that is tangible? I eagerly clicked on the new NWA website. Can they not do better than that pathetic presentation? New products must make their splash upfront. Sorry, but the site is a hot dog without mustard. Hope it gets better. Not holding my breath. C'mon Mister Pumpkin Smasher - - run with the ball!

I want to see the NWA give homage to Saint Louis and Central States (Kansas, Missouri, Iowa) area since they're the "original" area of NWA.

When Chris Candido died, they made a new NWA Midwest belt (Candido was NWA Midwest champion when he died) that looked like the old (pre Domed globe) NWA World championship, because Chris was a big fan of Buddy Rogers. That was a nice tribute.

WAR GAMES! Maybe an elite heel faction in the style of the Horsemen. Maybe bring in Matt Riviera to reform a version of the Empire.

I would like to see NWA reestablish a relationship with CMLL and recognize the old NWA titles there.
I would also like to see the World Junior Heavyweight title brought back and given a home at CWFH. The lighter guys can make the most of the smaller ring.

War Games would be great and I'd also like to see the return of the Mexican world championships.

I doubt they can do WARGAMES in a tiny studio set. But if 2 or 3 years from now and the NWA finaly more success and established, maybe they can held show with WARGAMES.

War Games would be great and I'd also like to see the return of the Mexican world championships. Can’t do War Games as thats WWE property. Also with NWA no longer with ROH would it be wise to bring back those titles as CMLL has them?

The current top tier of NWA consists of Impact castoffs (Aldis, Drake, Storm, etc) and with ROH NJPW EVOLVE AEW and MLW signing most the top independent talent where their roster coming from? I have nothing against tradition but let’s be real it’s not 1986 and bringing in Jim Cornette or the Rock N Express isn’t a draw.

The NWA has always respected its tradition. Remember Pat O'Connor, Lou Thesz and Terry Funk as judges for Flair vs Steamboat. Pat O'Connor wasn't a draw in 1989 but it added to the aura of the championship. Flair and Steamboat were contesting the belt that Thesz and O'Connor had fought over in the 1950s and beyond.
You could play the castoff card to anyone. Aren't the Young Bucks TNA castoffs? Isn't Cody a WWE castoff?
The NWA is currently presenting the NWA championship better than TNA ever did. I recently watched back the match where Sting captured the NWA/TNA Championship. That should have been a huge moment. One of the true legends of the golden age of the 1980s was back to recapture the NWA gold he won from Ric Flair. And TNA Barely even mentioned he was a former champion.
Speaking as a fan, the reason why I watch the current NWA product (and I don't watch Raw etc) is that it feels like the NWA I grew with. And I don't mean the same guys like Ricky Morton. I watch Aldis on Good Day Charlotte and I see the first NWA Champion since the 1990s who carries himself like Flair, Race and Thesz. I see James Storm and he reminds me of a young Stan Hansen or Barry Windham.
Most of all they are not actors playing parts. Aldis is just being himself. James Storm is just being himself. That was the magic of people like Flair, Race, Dusty they were just slightly enlarged versions of who they were in real life (or in Flair's case possibly a toned down version of who he was in real life). Whereas the WWE is all scripted, stage managed and hokey.
I'm not suggesting I want to see Dory Funk and Tully Blanchard headline the next NWA show, but little touches like bringing back Schiavone and Cornette for commentary make it that little bit special for me.

This isn't all or nothing people. You can honor the past and do modern things.
WWE is in decline no matter how much a Saudi prince is willing to pay them. Network membership is declining and expecting to decline more in the coming months.
We have no idea if AEW can last. Honestly I have no interest in it. The last two shows were average at best.
ROH has had a major decline in talent and attendance and the booking has been subpar to be kind. Impact is eh and really only MLW seems to be rising.
Now a studio show by itself isn't going to do squat. However, if they feature good talent who can talk and work and use the show to get over upcoming events and spot shows and grow with time. Don't waste money or rush things, then I feel this is a major step in the right direction.

All I want is good stories, realism in promos, good characters that will lead to great wrestling matches.
AEW is on fire but I don't really know why. Omega? TNT? They should learn from Impact mistakes.
Mlw is getting better and has everything you want from a promotion.
Roh is still decent but nothing must see.
Nwa will have to provide good stories in a weekly series. Ten Pounds of Gold have produced great stories, hopefully that translate into the weekly product.
