The REAL question is, will they be referred to as 9 time champions...

I think that the NWA want them to be officially recognized as 10X NWA World Tag Team Champions in the History books.

Not to say like or don't like. But Isaacs and Latimer scheduled to defend the Tag Titles in Modist Madness in October 26. And now they lost the title while the episode that show them lost the title probably will air around November. šš

The crowd marked out for it and that should look good on NWA Power. I would not be surprised if Billy still had Lattimer and Isaacs defending the belts (successfully) in other promotions (like Modist Madness) until the Power program air dates catch up. Iām sure the intention is to have the rematch at their pay-per-view December 14th in Atlanta.
Though Iād rather see Lattimer and Isaacs as champions and them defending them against worthy, up and coming opponents (not so much ālegendsā), this title change will create some buzz (both good and bad) and keep people talking about the product

I like having legends on the show, but the Rock n Roll Express winning the tag titles in 2019 is like if Lou Thesz had won the NWA title in 1990.
They are a feel good nostalgia piece, it's admirable they can still move so well, but it isn't a good look for the promotion.

Iāll take a 40 year old over a 74 year old

Smart move by The Pumpkin Smasher and Diabolical Dave Lagana - it's called name recognition.
It plays to the "Tradition!" mantra.
Notwithstanding, I predict it will end with a smart angle.
Bravo!

Right now the R&R in 2019 the hottest team in professional wrestling... Let that sink in.. We talked about this a little. While I don't like it Jaden does have a point. And the sad thing is RnR can probably out work 90% of the teams in the business. Not on the indies, in the business including WWE and AEW and any other group. To me that says more about the state of wrestling today than anything.

Morton and Gibson are top 10 of all time no question. They can still go, no question.
Initially I wasnāt happy, but the more I think about it the more Iād rather it was them than the Young Bucks

Spot after spot before you can process what just happened. RnR not very flashy these days but can add layers of substance through well worked storytelling to build to the big spots. The Bucks are probably a better fit in this modern short attention span era so refreshing to see the old guard keeping it grounded.
