Great that the tv title is coming back and can be quite an asset if done right. The 6 min 5 sec time limit is a bit odd but can make for interesting fast pace matches. Will this be the rule for defenses as well or just the tournament? I dont like Aldis being in the tournament. Doesnt make sense why the World Champion would care about a low level secondary title that would serve him no purpose unless his involvement is to set up another angle. Enjoyed seeing CW Anderson on the show, its been awhile. Too bad Isaacs isnt in the tournament, he would be the best option in my opinion and he could also showcase the title frequently on CWFH tv.

The world champ being in the tournament is silly This has a small amount of precedence of this.. Flair once said on an interview saying he wanted to win the TV Title because he is already the best in the world but TV Signals go into space so that would make him the best in space also...

Flair, as World Champion, was also in the Texas heavyweight title tournament in 1984 making it to the finals before losing to Gino Hernandez by DQ.
Story line was Flair entered the tournament after losing the World title to Kerry Von Erich. After regaining the World title he wanted to stay in the tournament to prove he was the best.
He lost to Gino when Kerry, who Flair had a incident with earlier in the show, came out and hit Gino, causing the DQ, on his way to attack Flair.

The world champ being in the tournament is silly Yeah it was a bit odd but I thought he explained it well. His motivation is to be the first man to ever hold the World and TV Titles. Not sure who in that bracket he could lose to but I imagine they'll simply have some young rookie upstart last the time limit with Aldis thus attempting to make a new star off him. This method was used back in the mid 80's when Jake Roberts debuted. Don't remember who he wrestled against but I think Roberts was either the champion and got taken to the limit or was on debut and took someone to the limit. Someone with more knowledge could probably talk further on it.
