It's too bad all the egos couldn't have worked together and get a national broadcast on the scene, but Showcase was ahead of its time. Could only imagine if this show was given a chance where it would have been today. It's taken 5 years to get Hollywood to where it is now. But people want instant gratitude and hit, don't want to give it a chance to grow and deliver.

I was digging these episodes the first time I saw them.

There are many factors as to why PWO never succeeded in bringing a national product forward. Too many to list in this forum.
When PWO changed to an Executive Director led company, I, for one, was hopeful such initiatives would begin. Perhaps one handicap was that a full-time XD was needed. The XD we unanimously selected is a good man. He loves the industry and his integrity speaks for itself.
How do you overcome the obstacles of people who choose to lead with their mouth instead of their mind?
How do you overcome the obstacles of alleged adults who , since they live their lives in gimmicks, would find it hard to trust God, Himself?
PWO, as was its predecessor, was too thick to understand that business is not a democracy. Business, if it is to succeed, has to be an amalgamation of assertiveness, creativity and the courage to take risks.
In its last few years, PWO was a comedy of errors. An orgy of fools who were so busy working one another that they were totally unprepared for the challenge that brought them to their knees.
Dave Marquez knows television. I have seen his product several times and have been at his tapings. His talent impressed me.
But there was always some knucklehead who thought they could do it better.
Last comes the most important factor.
Money.
PWO accrued a pitiful bank account. Other than membership fees, there was little that stuffed the coffers. And while I will not reveal the dollar amount PWO had at the time it threw in the towel, I will simply describe it as disgraceful.
It is regrettable that David's program did not materialize.
If PWO wanted to see its worst enemy, all it needed to do was look in any mirror.

I was going to drop Comcast to get Dish because of the NWA Showcase. Unfortunately I never got around to it before the NWA Showcase quit airing

Those are generally the problems almost an wrestling company faces. Even if you can solve a couple of the issues, very few--if any--can solve them all. The "alleged adults" issue is almost as big a problem as money, if not more so, because you can give a person a lot of money and watch them blow all of it unproductively. I don't know how many people I've worked with that have had big ideas, but those ideas never got off of the ground due to either laziness, or the sudden realization that professional wrestling is by no means a "get quick rich" scheme--or "get rich" at all, for that matter--and once the initial enthusiasm dies off, the motivation of people to try to do anything quickly goes away, and you're left with nothing but a lot of wasted time and effort on a project that never began to materialize. I've watched various DVD, VOD, and TV projects flame out because suddenly, the people who are working on it just decide "they don't want to any more."
And this is probably the number one thing I've been impressed with Dave Marquez on, is that he's kept CWFH running, despite people coming and going through the rotating door of wrestling, or the unfortunate passing of friends who managed to maintain that enthusiasm about working on a project and seeing it through.

Here's the sales reel we put together to sale the concept to stations. The idea of a studio show wasn't new, but it was outdated to broadcasters. I'm happy I've been able to re-educate new station managers on how successful this format could be if they backed it, luckily (for me) a few listened. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyys8_Bv20Q

David did a heck of a job on the NWA Showcase. And what did the new regime do, they booted him. Complete idiots!
