The NWA World Women's Championship was gaining some great forward momentum last year with the champion Santana Garrett defending the belt in Canada, Chile (In front of thousands), Japan (In front of thousands) and all over the United States (She was defending it weekly at her I Believe Dojo Shows) as well. Santana still wrestles in Japan, just completed a second tour of Chile and currently holds EIGHT Women's Championships throughout the world. She'd probably be up there as the best women's wrestler not currently signed somewhere.
Then we look at new champion Amber Gallows. Countries defended in? Just the United States. Big crowds? She wrestled a couple ROH dark matches but has defended the belt in front of no big crowds. Forward momentum? Not really. Does anyone care about her like we all did about Santana Garrett? No. However, she's the Bullet Club valet (Which won't happen anymore with Gallows going to WWE) which for some reason makes the NWA think she's marketable but in all honesty she isn't really apart from maybe a fan or two who are super smarky hardcore Bullet Club fans.
Santana works Shine as does Amber Gallows, have the title change hands at SHINE and allow Santana to go back and add prestige to the title belt. Believe me, the World Women's Title looks a lot better being defended in a Chile stadium with a former TV wrestler holding it compared to a popular stables valet defending it in a rec hall. Alternatively if the NWA feels that it's been a bit too much Santana I'd really like to see the NWA-AAW promotion over here in Perth get a chance to highlight the World Title for 12 months.
Over here in Australia currently we have Madison Eagles (Current SHIMMER Champion), Kellyanne English (SHIMMER), Shazza McKenzie (SHIMMER), Demi Bennett (Japan), Kellie Skater (Japan, SHIMMER), Savannah Summers (SHIMMER) with Evie (Japan/SHIMMER) being a stones throw away in New Zealand. We also produced KC Cassidy (WWE) and Jessie McKay (WWE).
Have Gallows drop the belt to Madison Eagles and have her tour Australia with the championship title whilst making title defences during her trips to the States. Madison pretty much wrestles all over the country for all sorts of big indies and low end indies so she could rack up tons of title matches and maybe the SHIMMER fans start supporting the NWA World Women's Title if you go in that direction. They're real supportive (To the point that it's creepy) of the SHIMMER girls so that could be a good booking move.
Anyway, tl:dr I simply want to see the belt off Gallows. She adds nothing to the belt.

I see Emma as more of a Lance Storm produced talent although she did get her start here.

How long has Amber have the strap? 34 Amber Gallows 1 December 18, 2015 139+ Sherman, TX Live event This was a fatal four–way elimination match, also involving Bree Ann and Nikki Knight. Gallows won the title with lastly eliminating Santana. Not long so a title change wouldn't make any logical sense. Just because one person doesn't like her as champion, doesn't mean others agree.

Four months isn't long enough for her to drop it? I understand liking long title reigns but when someone is a flop you shouldn't keep them.
When you think great women's wrestlers do you think Amber Gallows?

When you think great women's wrestlers do you think Amber Gallows? YOu can't say she is a flop cause she isn't the booker. Now if she was given power to go out and get bookings and she just sits on her ass then I would agree. Are there bookers who actually book women on a consistent basis?

Shows how exciting the NWA is right now that getting the belt of Gallows is the ONLY talking point. I don't think the NWA has had such little substance and relevance than right now, I wish things would change.

When you think great women's wrestlers do you think Amber Gallows? Are there bookers who actually book women on a consistent basis? Tons. Most independent shows have at least one women's match for their events. Now if you mean bookers who would be willing to fly a woman in I'm sure that number is a lot less but promoters still do it. Santana herself is a great example of that. If I were an AMERICAN promoter I'd see value in Santana. She has some TV exposure (Although only for about six months), she's worked some really high end talent such as Charlotte, Emma, Gail Kim, Madison Rayne, Mercedes Martinez etc and I think if you have a few female rookies she could be great to have. Alternatively, if you're bringing in a former WWE diva for a match and your local girls aren't quite good enough to work a strong match Santana would be good to fill in. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't fly her to Australia or anything like that but if I could get her for a couple hundred I would. Amber Gallows? Not so much... Shows how exciting the NWA is right now that getting the belt of Gallows is the ONLY talking point. I don't think the NWA has had such little substance and relevance than right now, I wish things would change. Yeah, there isn't a lot going on right now. Just did a search of the NWA twitter and it's all just re-tweeting JR and hyping the Vendetta Pro super show whilst Bruce Tharpe's twitter is just him re-tweeting stuff in Japanese and self serving stuff about how great him and the NWA are.

The Women's title has never been heavily used by NWA Promotions. Santana had a great run with the title, however, only defended in a couple of NWA promotions. Gallows doesn't get quite the press put has defended in more NWA promotions.

That might be true although if the people don't care who do you blame? You have to blame the board of directors and the people in charge. Women's wrestling right now is pretty hot. Both NXT and WWE have great women's divisions but TNA has also been recruiting the women heavily for the past two years as well. ROH has recently started promoting more women's matches and then you have the promotions like SHINE and SHIMMER who do good business as well. The NWA is kind of behind the times, they haven't got a champion who is really known with the women's wrestling audience and are missing out. I mentioned Madison Eagles in my initial post, she's someone that the NWA can not only afford but she'd give the belt a lot of prestige and most importantly thanks to SHIMMER she's a draw with the women wrestling fans. She's also talented enough to hook complete casuals, Madison is huge in my hometown with the little indy that runs here and that show is family friendly entertainment packed with casual fans. Hell, you could probably put the belt on a few of the lower end TNA girls and not break the bank when booking them but honestly there are so many popular options out there that the NWA should pick the one that suits best. It's a great time for women's wrestling and the NWA should represent that.

I still don't buy that Women's wrestling is a big as some try to make it out to. Even in WWE we are basically down to 4 or 5 active full time women. Also, the NWA itself is not a promotion, so it is dependent on the licensees. Most "indie" promotions have two or three they feature from time to time.
I'm fine with the Women's title being featured as a special attraction from time to time.
