I wish some of these guys were still involved with the NWA in some form. I understand a lot are retired or have passed away but I've seen Jimmy Valiant wrestle recently (Like in the past 2-3 years) and it's still great to see.
A lot of these NWA promotions always talk about their love and respect for the history so they should bring these guys in every now and then. It's worked out really well for Smoky Mountain and their use of Ricky Morton.

To a degree. I mean, I saw a show on YouTube where due to incliment weather, couldn't get the ring to the show. So... Nikolai Volkoff another guy, whom I can't remember... tried to work a match on the high school's wrestling mats. It was awful and a bit embarrassing.
The point I'm trying to make is, you can't just pluck a "Legend" and expect good things to happen. You have to know the area, know what your audience wants, and know how to use the Legend to your advantage.
