Jeff Jarrett is taking an “indefinite leave of absence” from his position as Chief Creative Officer of GFW/Impact Wrestling … this according to a statement from the company.
The statement on Impact Wrestling’s website says, “Effective immediately, Jeff Jarrett is taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as Chief Creative Officer to focus on personal matters.”
Jarrett came back to the company in January when Anthem Sports took control from Dixie Carter. His return led to the exit of wrestlers like The Hardy Boyz, Drew McIntyre and Mike Bennett. He was also instrumental in signing Alberto El Patron, who hasn’t brought them the most positive public attention.
The company noted that Jeff will be available on a consultative basis “as needed.”

People say we should let the NWA die, but honestly TBA/Impact/GFW needs to die.

TNA is an interesting story. Had about three good years (04, 05, 06) then slowly started going downhill. We are now at the point where it's trying to reclaim it's past glory the exact same way that it did 12 years ago using a lot of the same talent, writers etc etc.
Fact of the matter is TNA for the past few years has struggled to do anything but be a cheap WWE rip off (EY wins title, Abyss being a Kane ripoff etc) or try to be a complete replica of what it was in 2005-2006 (Low Ki, Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt etc)
Say what you want about the NWA but at least the NWA had a good 20+ years of quality. TNA is living off three good years from 10+ years ago. Ouch.
