Yes. It would be remarkable. But it'll never happen. One of my dearest friends in the world is very close with the PWG Boss, he has no desire to do anything like that. The ROH deal only came up because it just gave them access to guys they were already using.

The NWA would be expected to pony up part of the dime for that idea, friends are great in all, but when it's business, one tends to shy away.

What value does the alliance bring other than the logo?
ROH and NJPW are legit companies who have built their own brands.

^ So is PWG to a lesser extent. It's one of the top IWC companies out there right now.

Back during the time that we (Fred and I) were still part of the NWA, we ran a joint show in New Jersey and booked a match between Damien Wayne and DJ Hyde of Combat Zone. DJ, who's a great businessman, but has an ego similar to other promoters, spoke with Fred and I about the possibility of putting together a CZW sub promotion that would be less violent & more family oriented, and wanted to discuss having this promotion join up with the NWA. With that said, I think anything is possible, whether it's ROH or NJPW or PWG becoming licensed. THAT isn't the issue. The issue is, that if the limitations of the licensing agreements are the same as when they were submitted to me at Coastal, it's doubtful that these bigger promotions could be bound by all of the restrictions, especially the ones concerning the rights to video media.

PWG has it's own brand, they're known as the company that books "dream matches" and they're happy with their niche internet cult following and seem to be happy where they're at.

I think i misunderstood your comparison. I think every indie thrives to be like PWG. And they do put on incredible matches, but what they are doing is insigificant to NJPW and are still way below ROH.

I agree entirely but the PWG still does have a brand and a fan base that most companies only dream of having.
