NWL ( Missouri/Kansas ) has folded. Apparently 50k per year guaranteed with benefits for everyone wasn't a wise strategy for long term financial success. NWL also had broadcast television outlets in multiple cities regionally. The most notable absence from that list was St.Louis, where NWL originally launched (along with Kansas City) with a comprehensive marketing campaign. NWL lasted less than a year in St.Louis before focusing almost exclusively on KC/St.Joseph/Joplin markets. Only returning to the STL metro area for the occasional spot show at least 40 miles removed from the city proper where they began. Guess paying the boys well and tv exposure wasn't enough to overcome the truth that there just isn't enough people willing to pay to watch regional wrestling to operate like a junior VKM without going broke in less than two years.

For a time, NWL was my main during the time when nothing interesting in NWA (you know, the GLORIOUS GOLDEN CORRAL ERA!!). To this day, Im still wishing if NWA Champion can comes to NWL and build cooperation together. But alas, good things come to an end. Which is shame that they closed just when they will opened their own arena. Whicn makes me wonder, how will become of the upcoming NWL Arena.
Meanwhile, from the ashes of NWL, St. Louis Anarchy will be re-opened. Sadly, the same probably cannot be said on Metro Pro as Metro Pro at that time was dying and NWL acquisition are the thing that save them. I hope fans in KC will finally get its replacement.
Rest in Peace NWL. You'll be remembered.

Metro Pro closed, most recently because the owner of Metro was part of NWL's staff. Hoping someone can swoop on some professional equipment on the cheap.
