Unless this is some mornic angle, Corgan, et al. should be damned well ashamed of themselves. When it comes to professionalism, they couldn't wipe the dung from Corny's boots (yes, Piper to Virgil). At a Florida show I reffed some years ago, one of the workers let the blade slip and left in on the mat after gigging. Corney let this " name" have it with every expletive in the book for exposing the business. It was the right thing to do since the " name" copped a " no big deal" attitude. " Glorifying suicide" Give me a break! (Mean Gene) Jim Cornette is the personification of professionalism.

I don't know, Cornette is a little too old to be throwing temper tantrums.
Nwa is a business first and Corny already messing up the money for no good reason. I don't expect him at the next tapings despite what they say.

But Cornette is making this a patterm Hasn't his views got him in trouble in WWE, WCW, MLW, ROH and Impact? If the NWA cut ties where else can he work?

He doesn't really need the work.

He doesn't really need the work.Bingo! Jim is quite comfortable and secure, I assure all who read this. He does it because he loves it and it's in his blood. Like all of we " geezers" who remain involved (to the extent we choose), we are somewhat " purists" who get riled when we see the business we worked hard to help build exposed. No one that I know of in the current NWA has a fraction of the experience or talent that James J. Cornette possesses. Apologize for Jim - bullcrap Bravo, James J!

Y'all be glad you don't have me say stuff to you.. If what Cornette says offends you then what I say will make your head explode...

And those with the courage and integrity who speak it merit true respect. Respect that extends far beyond the traditional limp-wristed, locker room " handshake". Bravo, sir.

Jim didn't even bring up suicide. He said a ring announcer should be taken to the parking lot and hung, one of his twitter critics said he was "glorifying suicide" because the ring announcer happened to be the promoter. Cornette quipped that he never said the guy should hang himself, that others could help (or something to that affect). Don't think it needed any official statement.

Cornette has always been and will always be Cornette. He will be opinionated and sometimes controversial. It's just a more sensitive society we live in now. Things said 10 or 15 years ago that went completely unacknowledged now cause backlash and controversy if said today. If he made the same statement on a show in the 80s or 90s it would have been a passing comment and on with the show.

Too sensitive, thus the term snowflake.

It’s truly sad that the NWA felt the need to even issue an apology. Simply ignore it and let the snowflakes cry...

Cornette made offensive comments on Power but somehow it made air. Lagana is human but like I said Jay Cal I hope he doesn't get burn out.
Cornette got to go, they had to take down the episode. He has become VINCE RUSSO.

Why would they fire Cornette for something that was on taped commentary and obviously approved by NWA bosses ? The blame falls on them and not Cornette.
