BEFORE I START SORRY ABOUT THIS LONG POST BUT I JUST WANTED TO CLARIFY A FEW THINGS FROM MY PERSPECTIVE. I woke up to the news regarding Chris and his Throwback promotion being removed from the NWA and to be honest I am not shocked but it doesn't make it right. Chris & I have for a while been discussing launching an subscription based channel via Roku but we always said it had to be right for both parties and be something ethical and fair in the way promotions are rewarded as part of the output. The reasons for taking Throwback out of the NWA due to conflicts of interest seem incredibly short sighted. Ultimately we have obtained some exciting libraries across the world to be part of the service and it will affectively be a wrestling channel showcasing some great footage from the past couple of decades plus we will be offering wrestling promotions the opportunity to stream their special events or weekly tv on the channel with revenue potential based on viewership per video, I cannot see how this would be a conflict for the NWA and find the decision somewhat knee-jerk due to a lack of understanding and vision. How does this conflict with the NWA? Chris advised me one thing was mentioned... NWA Classics - Ultimately a subscription model that releases matches from one library, the Houston library which is from a certain time era and style. Does classics showcase anything else? How long has it been in existence and do the current NWA members upload footage onto it? It's been nearly a year since it launched and I think it's clear that either the project has stagnated or their promoters don't believe or add any additional value to it. I read that they were looking to put it on Roku but not sure if that has materialised. How Licensing a brand name and then putting your output onto a subscription is conflict still puzzles me. NWA is an affiliate program, what we are looking to achieve is a wrestling channel. It's been mentioned that its a conflict with direction of the NWA - What is the direction of the NWA? What is its purpose? Conflict with direction can only be citied if a direction is clear and known. The NWA has some fantastic regional promotions using it's licence and regarding the channel there are some who would fit what we want as output, when Chris announced it some reached out asking for info as they wanted to use the service, they may hide that fact with the recent news. I am excited to put this incredible library out for public consumption and hope we can help promotions get their output to a condensed wrestling focused audience via the subscription service, or and monetize their content without hindering their other revenue streams I feel bad for Chris as I don't think he wanted his NWA experience to end like this, but life goes on regardless. So you want to start a subscription based for current run product compared to old scohol matches. I don't get how anyone can say that this is "direct competition" Unreal, plus they can't and wont get a Roku channel cause "it's difficult". Sorry to say but this is just something very wrong with the current regime.

Clearly running a subscription/Roku service featuring a classic library is contradictory to nwaclassics.com. Stating that your product has a better library doesn't mean that it's good for the NWA, it actually proves that you're in direct competition with their subscription service and possibly with a better product.
I don't know the business dealings of the NWA promoters, however, if they're not attempting to develop both a NWA Roku channel featuring all the promotions new programming and a syndicated television program that can be placed in several markets, they're missing out on an opportunity.
Most importantly, discussing the situation like this and bashing the NWA is counter-productive and unprofessional. State that you went separate ways, enhance your product and move forward.

I'm not bashing the NWA. What we are looking to achieve doesn't match what classics is. Parade of Champions I was told (& duly checked) is being put out on Fite TV's app. Isn't that a complete contradiction? It's all just silly. I didn't want to keep fully quiet when the man who is part of this new service model is getting vilified for trying to grow his business and offer an output service for wrestling promotions. Anyway that's all I really wanted to say until launch.

This IS WHY the NWA is bush league!! Anyone rational owner of the NWA would want their member/licensee to expand anyway possible.
