I actually found out more about Superbrawl and they're offering a pretty decent show. 10,000 seat building and they're offering Bullet Club Vs The Steiner Brothers, Gunner, Jimmy Rave and Johnny Swinger.
Won't say it's some amazing card but it's better than the Starrcade offering from years ago.

If half the energy that was put into Superbrawl would be repeated in STARRCADE Then I would say that the NWA would mean business and STARRCADE should be the focal point of the organization (IMO)

10,000 capacity for that line up. Isn't it NWA Atlanta running it and they just cancelled their show this/last month.

I think it is NWA Georgia Extreme

I think it is NWA Georgia Extreme Well if it's them I've just looked them up and they've got a job on their hands drawing 10,000 IF that's actually the plan. I'm never a fan of rehashing old PPV titles unless you are going to really do them justice.

I would think that a large part of the arena will be curtained off TNA style.
I doubt they've gone in expecting to sell 10,000 seats

The brand is best retired....using it only to sell branded merchandise to the dying off generation who still want to represent "the good ole days". Its function as a sanctioning body is obsolete. With all of the failure, devaluation of the heavy weight title and tomfoolery so far, how could it be anything else? At this point, if you insist on it being an active brand, one real promoter should be the brand's only active promotion. Period. No affiliates, licensees, etc. it's an antiquated model. If anyone had mercy they would let it rest in peace and stop disgracing its long gone rich and productive heritage. I don't know. I bet you if Marquez was still running the NWA, we wouldn't be saying the same things. Plenty of good promotions tied into his sanctioning body of the United Wrestling Network.

IF Dave was still part of the NWA the NWA would be exactly like the UWN accept promotions like Smokey Mt would be on board and the NWA Workl title would be held in higher regard than it is currently.

There are plenty of good promotions in the NWA currently, just depends on where and how you want to place your focus.
And nothing against Dave, but I'm not sure the NWA title would held in higher regard in general. Dave has come a long way with UWN but it still doesn't have traveling champions or a top champion that I am aware of at least. I've seen some plans for CWFH champions to be at other events but I am unaware of a "world" champion, as we would think of one.
None of that is a knock, its just the understanding that things take time to be built and happen.

You are 100% right. The NWA World Title has been established for some 60 odd years. The United World Champion hasn't even been crowned yet. We're not sure who their champion is going to be or what they'll be capable of. But we know the Premier Champion in CWFH is Peter Avalon. And he's defended the Heritage Title in Alaska and most recently in New Jersey. I'd also bet he defends in Arizona, with their first set of TV Taping coming soon.

Well given that there is no traveling title in the UWN and unlike the NWA there are no fees to be part of the UWN you can't really fault the UWN. But all members of the UWN do have TV. The NWA prior to Tharpe taking was in alot better hands.

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to say.

All of which is great, like I said, I'm not knocking it just pointing out it takes time.
The NWA name may have been around for 60 years but the NWA as it currently exists is barely 4 years old and it will take time to rebuild and there will be set backs and other things like every one else in the business.
Nobody on the indie circuit is getting rich. A lot of the super indies barely break even, some even lose money
