I can't speak for Fred, or Chris, or Bruce for that matter. My best guess is that Bruce probably trolls this site, though he'd likely not admit to it. If there is or will be a suit, or any legal action of some sort, he will find out in due time, as most legal proceedings carry notice to the parties involved. I'm also going to go out on a limb and say that even if he did know about any sort of legal proceeding concerning the NWA, he wouldn't respond here, where he run the risk of being verbally lynched. Bruce can't place himself in forums where any criticisms can be discussed, I'm betting his ego won't allow that. I've had an opportunity to view some things that lead me to believe that something fishy has gone one for the past couple of years. I'm not a lawyer, but I'm betting that some people are going to be quite interested (and a few will be uneasy) if this all plays out. Someday, I plan on writing a book about it, for the dozen or so that might be interested. Can I write the forward? Hell, I'd bring you in as a c0-author!

Who would have thought that a thread created pretty much for me to bitch about Bruce Tharpe would have so much drama. I love it.

Cabana title reign lasted about 2-3 months and you know the only person that can defeat him is Pearce. It devalued everything. Bad gimmick, titles should not be on the line. KInda like we knew that whenever a NWA Champ would go back to Japan a second time they would drop their title to a New Japan guy with little or no storyline?? At Least we knew that Cabana and Pearce "hated" each other and were telling a compelling story.

The ultimate plan was to have NJPW fall in love with the brand and "have to have it". But, why buy the cow when you get the milk free? And really...is the cow worth the 6-8 million dollars he wanted for it?

So no one knew about storyline behind Pearce vs Cabana??? At the time CWFH had it's tv free on the internet and tons of indy fans knew about it. Pearce sold out his DVDs.

Notice Pearce vs Cabana went to promotions that filmed for some sort of television, whether it be for traditional television or internet television..... What NWA promotions today have television other than Smoky Mountain? And where has the NWA Worlds Champion been booked?

LOL, you have to be 100% correct all the time anyways so your point doesn't stand, again the match was filmed for television of sorts, get off your high horse PJ.... Arguing over something so stupid as that is just not really needed here. Go find another thread to troll.

And really...is the cow worth the 6-8 million dollars he wanted for it? Not when the cow has a terminal cancer and the days are numbered…. Not everyone agrees with me, but I see the brand as being worthless (dead) in the USA. I didn't feel that way when I owned half of the company and trademarks...but I did know it was minimal and that it would have to be built up. Nothing I've seen from current leadership makes me feel like they've added any value since then.....actually it's gone way down. If the cancer was removed and someone tried to start over...again...I see it as a virtually impossible uphill struggle in the US. The brand might have minimal value elsewhere. The logo and the ability to tie the history (with out use of the majority of it's historical video library) is it's only value internationally. Hell it's only trademarked in the US and Japan....at least that was the case when I left. It's wide open in Australia, Europe, etc. If you think about the current system, brand licensing deals outside of the US or Japan aren't really necessary....unless you want to be connected to the current incarnation I don't see any value in that personally, but I guess some do.
