I think you're all putting way more into this than what it really is.

Just being blunt about it all, Shawn asked, I answered. yes but you are always going back to Tharpe. We all get and agree! But until HHH personally buys the NWA we all can't do anything about what Tharpe does with the NWA. So constantly bitching about it won;t change anything it only gets annoying after awhile.

I think you're all putting way more into this than what it really is. It's things like this that show how little people understand the business.

I'm sure there is some of that is some of it, but not really what I meant.

I would rather see the library go to WWE and the NWA name go to New Japan.

Well, there is Smoky Mountain, I hear they are pretty good. Vendetta, hear good things about them. Pro Wrestling TeXas, they have had some good shows. IHWE, Running about every other month, quality shows All of them are competitive with top indies in the US
Texoma Blue Collar Top of Texas Wrestling Revolution Mid-South Southeastern New South Southern All-Star Wrestling Georgia Extreme City Circle Supreme Midwest Elite
I'm sure I'm leaving some out but all them are as good or most are better than the average indie in the US.
Northeast is new but their two shows were said to be good.
Sure there is still Rage/Mid-Atlantic and some that still haven't promoted a show but I think you statement is a little off the mark.

Sorry but imo Smokey Mt and maybe Vendetta are the top tier promotions in the NWA. The rest range from SoCalPro level to guys who Tharpe just stole their $$. The NWA is essentially a joke. Tharpe visiting the WWE Center is nice PR for him but not really great PR for the NWA unless it leads to Jane, or Chase getting signed by the WWE.

Well who is a joke and who isn't a joke in wrestling in general?
Who came up with the definitions?
How well do you know any of the promotions?

Wrestling is subject to a matter of opinion, someone's great can be seen as someone else's awful, I believe that Will Ospreay & Marty Scurll are in the top 5 junior heavys in the world today, that's my opinion, some may agree, some may not. The only thing that can define an opinion is with concrete evidence that backs up what they believe/say. I have my vision of what I believe pro wrestling is today and what level an independent should be at to be considered at least 'good' & many don't live up to my opinion affliate or not, but at the same time there is a certain handful that exceed it across the world that I admire. Regarding the visit to the performance centre, once again only judge on that what comes out of it, speculation is certainly fun but you guys are way over thinking it all as Jay Cal said. Nice picture though.

I am giving my opinion the NWA is a joke when compared to what is was 5 years ago, 10 years ago, 20 years ago and certainly 25 years ago! It is sad that the only headline the NWA gets is that it's owner visited the WWE Performance Center. While I will admit that I do not know about all of those promotion I certainly know that NONE of then are remotely close to Smoky Mt.
